ILLUSTRATIONS
I really enjoy 2D illustration. These images were made using Adobe Illustrator focusing on UI design graphics and perspective for a mobile app. The next 3 items were made as client pitches for explainer-style video storyboards. These images were brought to life in 2D animations in After Effects. Those videos are visible on my Visual Design page.
The last 3 items were drawn out in Procreate on an iPad from watching YouTube tutorials.
Character design. My master's thesis project was a mobile app to teach science communicators how to use TikTok. I created this character in Illustrator for the purpose of using graphics in to guide UX throughout the UI.

Character design for the explainer style animation set I created for Pint of Science Ireland. Pint of Science Ireland wanted to detail the history of how Pint of Science became a global event. These two characters mimicked the personas of the original founders.

Graphic Design Digital Media
The next few items on this page are intended to show graphic design applications for digital and print media.

I have been volunteering with Pint of Science Ireland as their national graphic designer since 2021. Featured below, are a few of the graphics for this year's global event happening in May 2023. In the next block of images, I show the cover art for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter as well as digital flyer advertisements for a teaser event.

The Animal Welfare flyer was made using stock footage from Unsplash while editing in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Original animal images were removed from the backgrounds. I then played with blending modes to match lighting patterns and overlaid text. The final design was then laid out in a brochure created in InDesign.
This image is a mockup of a magazine cover. The original task was to create a magazine cover for female readers interested in the political news field. It was made in Canva Pro with an orange-black color range.
